Mates In Construction

MATES in Construction (MIC) was created in 2008 with an aim to reduce the high level of suicide among Australian construction workers. It is owned and controlled by the Australian Building and Construction Industry.

Construction workers are six times more likely to die from suicide than an accident at work. Every year 190 Australians working in the construction industry take their own lives, this means we lose a construction worker every second day to suicide. The MIC program delivers a number of training programs on site to raise awareness about suicide in the workplace and provide practical guidance. EISS Super is proud to support Mates In Construction as a National Brand Partner until June 2020.
