New Federal Government laws known as Putting Members’ Interests First (PMIF) came into effect on 1 April 2020. These laws mean we can no longer provide you with default insurance cover if you are under age 25 and/or your account balance is less than $6,000. If you were under age 25 and/or your account balance was less than $6,000 on 31 March 2020 and you didn’t opt-in to keep your insurance cover, your cover has been cancelled.
If your insurance was cancelled due to the PMIF laws you may be able to reinstate your insurance cover. Visit our reinstatement page for further information. You must request reinstatement by no later than 15 June 2020 or your cover cannot be reinstated.
