Construction workers are six times more likely to die from suicide than an accident at work. Every year 190 Australians working in the construction industry take their own lives meaning we lose a construction worker to suicide every second day.2
Created in 2008 by the Australian Building and Construction Industry, MATES in Construction (MIC) aims to reduce this alarming figure.
The MIC program delivers training programs on worksites to raise awareness about suicide in the workplace and provide practical guidance.
EISS Super is proud to support MATES in Construction as a National Brand Partner until June 2020.
