EISS MySuper: Most stable on the market
EISS Super's MySuper product rated most stable on the market

New research from Rainmaker Information has found that investment returns from EISS Super’s MySuper product have been the least volatile, that is the most stable and predictable, over the past three years.

We’re very proud to have received this recognition, as security and reliability are part of our heritage. We protect members’ savings during market downturns, like the one we experienced in December 2018, by taking less risk while also seeking good opportunities for growth.

Our membership is unique, and our approach to managing investments has been built to suit their needs. Our members have an average account balance three times higher than the industry super fund average1 and protecting those balances against downturns in the market is an important part of our job.

While discussing the research Rainmaker’s Executive Director of Research, Alex Dunnin, said “only five of Australia’s most volatile MySuper products achieved above average returns. Funds and members should never be afraid of risk, but shouldn’t go looking for it either.”

Dunnin also said “the important take-away from the report is that super funds and their members shouldn’t only consider the final return figure, they also need to be aware of the consistency of returns over time, which is particularly important for members nearing retirement”.

In the past financial year, all our diversified options performed above the industry average including our High Growth option which was one of the Top 10 performing options across the whole industry2

In addition, we have delivered returns to members above our performance objectives for all investment options for the year and for their target timeframes, while taking less risk.

EISS Super Investment Performance for the year to 30 June 2019

High Growth 9.43% Top 10
Balanced 7.61% Above industry average
MySuper Conservative Balanced 6.57% Above industry average
