Terms and Conditions 'CommunityWire Crossword'

  1. These terms and conditions apply in relation to the CommunityWire crossword puzzle competitions (the ‘Competitions’). Information on entering the Competitions, prizes and the collection of personal information are part of the terms and conditions of entry. A valid entry into the Competitions is deemed to be acceptance of these terms and conditions.

  2. There will be four Competitions held over a 12 month period from 15 December 2015 to 15 December 2016

The Competitions will be promoted by Energy Industries Superannuation Scheme Pty Limited (‘EISS’) (ABN 72 077 947 285) AFSL 441877, RSE L0001373, Level 29, 201 Elizabeth Street Sydney NSW 2000, ph. 1300 369 901 (the ‘Promoter’) through the EISS ‘CommunityWire’ Financial Planning newsletter (the ‘Newsletter’).

  4. Each of the Competitions will coincide with the release of a new issue of the Newsletter from 15 December 2015 to 15 December 2016, which are released on a quarterly basis. Each of the Competitions will open at 8:00am (AEDT) on the date of issue of the Newsletter and close at 5.00pm after four weeks of the date of the Newsletter being issued or until three winners are determined, whichever occurs first (the ‘Competition Periods’).

  5. The winners will be notified by telephone and email on or before 5:00pm (AEDT) within 1 week of three winners being identified or one week after the conclusion of the Competition Periods. The winners names and suburb will be published in the next issue of the Newsletter. If any of the winners cannot be contacted or the Prize remains unclaimed by the issue of the next quarterly Newsletter, the next correct entry received will be deemed a winner. If three winners are not contactable or if there are less than three winners the prize will be held over until the next competition.

  6. The Competitions are open to members of EISS who receive the Newsletter (‘Eligible Members’).

  7. Each Competition during the Competition Period will be a game of skill involving the completion of a crossword puzzle. The Competitions will require Eligible Members to correctly complete the crossword puzzle in the Newsletter. Eligible Members may provide one correctly completed crossword per issue of the Newsletter during the Competition Periods. Only those entries with a correctly completed crossword will constitute a valid entry.

  8. These Competitions are open to Eligible Members resident in NSW and the ACT only and is authorised under NSW Permit No LTPM/15/01287.

  9. To enter, members must be ordinarily resident in NSW and the ACT and must be Eligible Members. Eligible Members enter the competition by returning the crossword in Newsletter to EISS via email. The first three correctly completed entries received in respect of each Competition will be declared a winner of that Competition. The first three entries will be determined by the date and time stamp of receipt of the email and conditional on the crossword puzzle being correctly completed. In the event two entries arrive at the same time and are both correct both Eligible Members will receive the prize. Entry to the competition is free.

  10. It is the responsibility of the Eligible Member to ensure that the Promoter holds their correct contact information. By correctly completing the crossword puzzle and entering this competition, entrants acknowledge and consent to the Promoter collecting personal information in accordance with its Privacy Policy. A copy of the Promoter’s Privacy Policy is available on its website (www.eisuper.com.au). Entrants may notify the Promoter if they do not consent to be contacted with future marketing or promotional material on 1300 369 901.

  11. By completing the crossword puzzle and entering the competition, Eligible Members understand and acknowledge that their first name and location (suburb) may be posted on the EISS website (www.eisuper.com.au) and/or advertised in the next issue of the Newsletter.

  12. There are three prizes to be won for each issue of the Newsletter, the prize will consist of EISS merchandise which can be in the form of a hat, branded sunscreen, water bottle, keychain or such other branded advertising merchandise determined at the discretion of the Promoter (the ‘Prize’). The value of each Prize will not exceed $50 (GST inclusive), in Australian dollars, in accordance with the recommended retail value provided by the supplier and is correct at the time of publication. The specific merchandise to be won will be stated in the competition details above the crossword in the Newsletter each quarter. The Prize is not exchangeable, transferrable or redeemable for cash and must be taken as offered.

  13. The Competitions will be judged at the offices of the Promoter. The Newsletter will first be issued on15 December 2015 and will be issued every three months consecutively (March 2016, June 2016, September 2016 and December 2016). The decision of the judges is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

  14. The Prize will be provided to the winners by registered mail.

  15. The Promoter accepts no liability for any loss or damage as a result (direct or indirect) of their participation in this competition or the carriage and delivery of the Prize to the winners.

  16. The Promoter reserves the right to validate entries and disqualify any entrant that is in breach of these terms and conditions, who interferes with the entry process or at the discretion of the Promoter where the entry is not in keeping with the spirit of the competition.

  17. Employees of EISS, our affiliates and service providers and their families are excluded from the competition.
