Leaving Your Employer?

If you are leaving or intending to leave your employer, there are a number of important issues you need to consider regarding your superannuation arrangements.

As part of the services provided by your superannuation scheme, Client Services can help you:

  • Understand options available to you and maximise your benefits.
  • Obtain an estimate of your entitlement.
  • Understand options to continue any death cover you have without providing further evidence of health. However this option is not available if you are at or over age 60 or leaving the Scheme because of ill-health. If you wish to exercise this option you need to apply to the Scheme within 2 months of leaving employment. Members who have voluntary insurance cover may also be able to continue cover even after you leave employment without further need of medical assessment. Please contact Member Services for further information.
  • Complete your application, thereby avoiding delays due to missing or incorrect data.

Each member's situation is unique and will require individual attention:

  • Where required, we can assign you a Case Manager to help manage your application and provide a single contact person throughout the whole process.
  • We can also arrange for you to meet with a Financial Planner to provide specific advice covering your superannuation, investment, tax, insurance and other financial arrangements.
